Filmed at the Midem festival in 1981, this concert is an unparalleled showcase of piano maestro Ahmad Jamal’s early 1980’s jazz-fusion trio featuring Payton Crossley on drums and Subu Adeyloa on bass. The first blistering set features Ahmad Jamal and his Trio, while Gary Burton joins in on vibraphone for the final set. The interaction between these masterful musicians, particulary on the rhythmic level, has rarely been equalled.
