Come and experience Keziah Jones' BluFunk on the Jazz à Vienne festival stage!
Bluesman Keziah Jones takes over the Jazz à Vienne festival and delivers a concert that perfectly reflects his unique style: surprising and eccentric!
A young man destined to take over the family business in Nigeria, Keziah Jones veered off the path laid out for him, discovering a future in music. In London, he quickly began learning piano and guitar, developing his own distinctive style. Blending funk rhythms, psychedelic rock, and reggae, Keziah Jones invented a genre he himself named BluFunk.
In 1991, he continued his extraordinary journey, busking in the Paris metro and quickly gaining recognition. He soon released the album "Blufunk is a fact," an international success that propelled him into the spotlight. This self-taught singer, songwriter, and musician has since collaborated and performed duets with artists such as -M- and WaxTailor. His latest achievement is the 2013 album "Captain Rugged," featuring a fictional character he portrays in his concerts, which was later adapted into a comic book.
Keziah Jones, the virtuoso dandy with diverse musical influences, graces the festival stage for an evening dedicated to jazz, showcasing his unique musical mastery.
