Chuchito Valdes is the son of Chucho Valdes and therefore grandson of Bebo Valdes. So Jesus Valdes, that's what we call him, represents the third generation of pianists in the family. The tall, strong Cuban, 46, who currently lives in Mexico, is the tallest of Chucho's five children.
Despite having released five solo albums with two Latin Grammy nominations, Chuchito Valdes is a virtually unknown musician in Europe.
