Founded in 2007, The Ruffcats built a strong reputation during jam sessions at Berlin's Bohannon Soul Club, and later by backing prestigious artists such as Georgia Anne Muldrow, Miles Bonny, and Ivy Quainoo. These eight seasoned musicians draw inspiration from all corners of the world to create an instantly recognizable sound.
Alongside them, R.A.H. – a rapper, singer, and songwriter born in Lagos – has conquered Berlin with his infectious Swag Jam Sessions and iconic collaborations, notably with Erykah Badu. His music blends hip-hop, soul, and Afrobeat. R.A.H. and the Ruffcats have released Orile To Berlin, a first joint album that musically retraces the journey of the Nigerian artist… who left Lagos to settle in Berlin.
