Lada Obradovic and David Tixier, a duo that sparks! The drummer and pianist reunite at Jazz à Porquerolles for a concert full of complicity.
The expression is well known: opposites attract. This is true with the jazz duo formed by drummer Lada Obradovic and pianist David Tixier. The former is indeed incisive, sensitive, and groovy. The latter is more rounded, technical, and voluptuous. Yet, at opposite ends of the spectrum, the two musicians manage to organically blend their two sensibilities.
At the time of writing, the collaboration between Lada Obradovic and David Tixier has already produced three albums: Professor Seek and Mister Hide (2019), The Boiling Stories of a Smoking Kettle (2020), and A Piece of Yesterday (2022). In early 2024, the duo reunited for the EP The Only Thing That Matters.
Jazz à Porquerolles offers us a meeting with a truly magnetic duo, all within the unique setting of Fort Sainte-Agathe.
