You can feel at first listen that the music of the Piero Gaddi Quartet (with the addition of the Swedish guitarist Bjørn Solli) has deep roots in Italian culture. Roots capable of finding a perfect balance between jazz, classical, rock and ethnic elements well outlined in the first work of 2020 "Opus One" (Vinile Records) and played in many concerts in Italy and Europe. Now the band led by the Tuscan pianist presents in the Parco della Centrale Idroelettrica the second album "Opus Two", out on June 18 (30th production of nusica.org).
The music of the quartet, thanks to a unique intensity in the execution, evokes different landscapes and multiple sensations, exploring the entire palette of timbres and dynamics available so as to give life to a "soft" crossover between different genres that does not forget the Mediterranean origins of the band.
