From eight photographs depicting urban and natural elements, sounds emerge, transforming images, patterns and abstractions into suggestions of as many musical compositions that range from free improvisation to electronics, from noise to jazz, from indie-math to prog. The deepest experimentation meets ecology in this afternoon event of Sile Jazz created in collaboration with the Oasi di Cervara. The Patterns for Transcendence quartet, led by bassist Leonardo Barbierato, wants to continue the artistic exploration of the inter-relations between improvisation and environmental/cultural ecology. In the first work “[insita]” (album released on September 18, 2023 as the 25th production of nusica.org), of which the concert will be the mirror, this exploration materializes in a solution of photographic and musical images, electronic and acoustic sounds, search for balance between writing, rationality, extemporaneity and instinct, reflections on human-ecological mental immanence and transcendence.
