Airy, poetic and delicate. Three names to best portray the music of the Mikael Godée-Eve Beuvens Quartet (MEQ), in perfect harmony with the nature of the Antonio Caregaro Negrin Cultural Park that will host it.
After “Looking Forward” (2019), Belgian pianist Eve Beuvens and Swedish saxophonist Mikael Godée returned to the studio with the Swedish formation completed by the rhythm section of Magnus Bergstroem and Johan Birgenius, recording “Ingen Fara”. A project that evokes the flight of migratory birds that soar free but united just like the music of this Nordic quartet. The chosen name, “Ingen Fara” is perfect: it is a Swedish expression close to “don’t worry” that a child would say before doing something rash. It is a positive expression that reveals the state of mind of the band both in the recordings and in their live performances.
