Poetry and music blend seamlessly in the Return&Crossing concert created in collaboration with Fondazione Benetton. On stage, the Germans Jutta Glaser, voice, and Claus Boesser-Ferrari, guitar and electronics, who dedicated this project to Etel Adnan, a Lebanese poet and video artist who passed away in 2021. The two musicians wanted to set Adnan's poems to music without the aim of creating simple songs but rather small soundtracks strongly inspired by the paintings and videos of the Lebanese artist.
A game of notes, words and rhythms that at Casa Luisa e Gaetano Cozzi will materialize in this mix of melodic and flat motifs, but also bizarre rhythmic patterns, in which improvisation will be essential.
