[c]Leszek Kulakowski - pianist, composer, teacher, full professor of composition at the Academy of Music in Gdansk. Kulakowski's compositional output includes over 150 pieces for various ensembles; his work is inspired by jazz, the works of Krzysztof Komeda, Fryderyk Chopin, the works of the Third Stream, religious music and Kashubian folklore. He has recorded many albums, incl. "Chopin & Other Songs", "Leszek Kulakowski i Kaszubi", "Komeda in the Chamber Mood". The concert program will include Komeda's most famous themes and specially prepared excerpts from his musical "Exile from Paradise". These compositions, reconstructed from manuscripts found in the Netherlands, were arranged in the form of a suite for a jazz quintet. [/c]
