Concert filmed at the festival Pleins Feux 2013.
The band from Nashville, Tennessee recreates the classic sound inaugurated by the "Godfather of Soul", the great James Brown. They perform this fantastic feat using the 70-year-old singer Charles Walker, who often made the opening parts of the famous funk singer at the Apollo, more than four decades ago. Deeply rooted in the New Orleans style, bass and brass offer their shows an inimitable groove, making cross decades and genres, without sacrificing consistency. Groovy mood reminiscent of Curtis Mayfield, James Brown syncopated rhythms, ska frenzy and electrifying vocals prove The Dynamites feat. Charles Walker are not afraid to explore unknown territories. But above all, they do it with talent and undeniable finesse.
