Sherman Robertson (born October 27, 1948, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, United States) is an American blues guitarist, songwriter and composer who has been described as "a zydeco part, a part of the marsh blues, a part Electric blues and a classic part of rhythm and blues Robertson was born in Louisiana and grew up in Houston, Texas.At 13, he watched a television performance by Hank Williams.
Duly inspired and equipped with a cheap guitar bought by his father, he began to play the songs previously performed by Freddie King and Floyd London. As he lived near the Duke / Peacock recording studio, Robertson had the opportunity to get acquainted with some of the musicians who recorded there.
