Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne grew up in New Orleans but has long been based in Vancouver, Canada. He has played alongside figures like Joe Louis Walker, Delaney & Bonnie and Jimmy Reed. It was precisely this musician working with in 1962, when a violent accident did put aside the blues to devote himself to religious music, which was for 20 years. "An Old Rock On A Roll" is his first album with Stony Plain Records and was produced by guitarist Duke Robillard, who also participates in the accompanying band, hence a touch of swing sometimes found in recording. "Blues Boss" has been characterized by a very elegant, fine sound, not only in the piano part but also singing, which matches well with their appearance, fine, refined dresses and hats that always carries on stage.
