Bill Homans, alias' Watermelon Slim is one of the most interesting out there bluesmen. Watermelon Slim first appeared on the music scene in the early 1970s as the only veteran of Vietnam to record a full-length LP during the war. Less than six months after leaving his most recent truck driving job, and transportation of industrial wastes, Slim decided to make a living as bluesman with tours full time. The decision was primarily the result of a recent and near-fatal heart attack, and renewed perspective on mortality that followed. Now that Slim has received from his blues album award nominations sixteen music in the last 4 years, is the new 'King of the Blues ".
