At first it was called "the greatest unknown guitarist in the world", but in a few years Rolling Stone magazine declared it "one of the three greatest guitarists of life." Unfortunately, life and the extraordinary talent of Roy Buchanan were cut too young at the age of 48, when a race marked by frustration, disappointment and alcohol abuse ended in tragedy, when he apparently took his own life in 1988.

This performance, captured in the previous stage of Nov. 15, 1976, shows Roy Buchanan, at its best, at the age of 37 years.
