In the 60s and early 50s, Bobby "Blue" Bland was one of the main creators of the Soul-blues a modern sound. Along with artists like Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and Junior Parker, Bland developed a sound mixing gospel with blues and R & B style of soul-blues Bobby featured a big band sound and polished, with touches guitar riffs BB-King style.
Bland was born and raised in Rosemark, a small town outside of Memphis. In 1947 he moved to town with her mother and began his career, first as a singer in a gospel group and then in the blues group loosely tied the Streeters Beale, which included future stars of blues as Johnny Ace, BB King, Junior Parker, and Rosco Gordon.
