The Bow Thayer Large Band performs live at The Fallout Shelter in Norwood, MA as part of the Extended Play Sessions on October 17, 2026.
Bow Thayer is a Vermont-based Americana and roots musician celebrating the release of his new album “Ninevah” with a record release show. Named for both Vermont’s remote Lake Ninevah and the ancient city of Nineveh, the album explores nature, division, transition, and rebirth. After spending nearly a year recording alone, Bow scrapped much of it, road-tested the songs on an Alaskan tour, then returned to Vermont to record the album’s core live, with guest appearances from Val McCallum, who tours with Jackson Browne. Tonight he is joined by Krishna Guthrie on guitar, James Rohr on keys and Hammond organ, Eric George on bass, River Thayer on drums, and Steve Ferraris on percussion. A former member of Boston rock/reggae band 7 League Boots and the inventor of the Bojotar, Bow blends folk, blues, and psychedelia into a sound entirely his own.
