Remembering Walter Little Blind Pig Records is a special tribute to the genius of harmonic five of the best harmonica blues scene today - Charlie Musselwhite, Billy Boy Arnold, Mark Hummel, James Harman, and Sugar Ray Norcia.
The show and the album feature songs written by or associated with Little Walter. The idea for recording tribute Little Walter emerged from a series of concerts of great success on the West Coast in early 2012 that were part of an ongoing series of concerts "Blues Harmonica Blowout" organized by Hummel, who served as producer recording project. Those sentiments were echoed by Charlie Musselwhite and Billy Boy Arnold, who knew and were friends of Little Walter. In fact, both were backing musicians Walter (Louis and Dave Myers, Fred Below, and Luther Tucker) in their own bands in the 60s and early 70s.
