Indian-born Canadian Arish "King" Khan is a special guy. When he's about to make you believe he's a wild and deranged frontman, he surprises you with a display of barroom gallantry of his own and then transforms into a psychedelic ringmaster. Perhaps the explanation is that this character has drunk from the sources of garage rock, funk and soul in the same quantities; in addition to having a foolproof charisma. Although it is a band, he represents fifty percent of the final result. Don't let him misunderstand, the musicians that accompany him are an incredible group. Recruited and settled in Germany, the eight instrumentalists of The Shrines come from different countries.

King Khan & The Shrines perform live on KEXP from the Bumbershoot Music Lounge. RecordedSeptember 3, 2012.

Tracks:

01. Land Of The Freak
02. Pickin' Up The Trash
03. Took My Lady To Dinner
04. Bight My Tongue
05. No Regrets
06. Outta Harms Way
07. so wild
08. Shivers Down My Spine
