For 40 years the Lahnsteiner Blues Festival has been an integral part of the Lahnsteiner cultural scene and an indispensable part of the annual program. The festival will also take place in this turbulent year. Many innovations and adjustments make it possible for the festival to take place in the Lahnstein town hall. This time under the motto “Blues stays”.
It starts at 4 p.m. with Mike Andersen Big Blues & Soul Revue. For 90 minutes the audience can hear groovy sounds from Denmark. Started under the influence of African American music and support appearances at the well-known B.B. King Mike Andersen is now a sought-after blues musician, who gives his songs to the best with his five-piece band at numerous events.
The Blues-Louis to be awarded this year goes to the radio editor, television journalist, presenter and book author Manfred Miller, who early on contributed to influencing people's view of blues music in a positive way.
After a 45-minute break, the Kai Strauss Band & the Lahnstein Birthday All Stars will continue at 6:15 pm. With sovereign and rousing blues, Kai Strauss has earned a firm place in the hearts of blues fans for many years.
You can expect an unforgettable blues afternoon with great artists and a diverse program.
