Bernard John "Bernie" Marsden (born May 7, 1951) is an English rock and blues guitarist. He is best known for his work with Whitesnake as the author or co-author with David Coverdale of many of the group's hit songs, such as Here I Go Again. Having played with Glenn Cornick Wild Turkey in 1974, then played with Babe Ruth, 1975-76, before becoming an original member of the Ashton Lord Paice in 1977 and then joining the hard rock band Whitesnake, later of being able to play with his boy-time hero, Paul McCartney and Wings, then David Coverdale asked him to form Whitesnake.
