From February 19 to 22, 2009, the Phuket Rock, International Blues Festival is held at the Hilton Arcadia Resort and Spa in Phuket. The night of the event, which promises to be one of the biggest that takes place this year, attracts the blues bands from Thailand as well as others returning from Australia and the United States.

Among the guests is Eric Bibb, who came from New York but has lived a large part of his life in Europe. He is one of the great contemporaries of the current blues who constantly tours around the world.
