Bonnie Lynn Raitt (November 8, 1949, Burbank, California, United States) is a singer and guitarist for Blues and Rock, daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. In the late 1970s, a NewsWeek Magazine reporter saw her in concert with Fred McDowell, and numerous scouts began to frequent their performances. He finally accepted an offer with Warner Bros., who gave him the opportunity to make his first self-titled album. She was one of the first women to be recognized as a great guitar player.
