Riley B. King, better known as B. B. King, was born on September 16, 1925 in Itta Bena, Mississippi. He is a famous guitarist and composer of blues and jazz blues. According to Rolling Stone magazine, he ranks sixth among the "100 Greatest Guitar Players of All Time" (behind Keith Richards and Jeff Beck) .1 He is known for calling his guitars Lucille, a tradition that began in the 1950s, 2 and even composed a song with that title referring to the way his guitar changed his life.
