Beautifully shot in HD, this popular film tells the story of the unique relationship between a band and an emerging American city with its own distinctive heritage and thriving indie music scene. "One Big Holiday" chronicles My Morning Jacket's preparations as the band returned to Louisville, KY, to play a homecoming concert at the new KFC Yum! Center in October 2010. The film combines stunning footage of Louisville, My Morning Jacket rehearsals, and the Louisville Youth Orchestra (LYO), juxtaposed with the three-hour homecoming concert. Also included are rare interviews with band members, former Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson, local music store owner Ear X-Tacy John Timmons, opening band members Wax Fang, and LYO director Jason Seber.
