Film/video productions featuring members of Led Zeppelin. Most have been concert films, although John Bonham even acted as Count Downes in the 1973 horror/comedy movie Son of Dracula, costarring Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson, billed as “The world’s first rock-and-roll Dracula movie!” (and thankfully the last).
But according to Bernard MacMahon and Allison McGourty, respectively the director/co-writer and co-writer/producer of Becoming Led Zeppelin, there has never been a motion picture about the ’60s/’70s supergroup like this new documentary.
Led heads will likely be climbing a stairway to heaven, as Becoming Led Zeppelin offers unprecedented access to the three surviving band members, featuring extensive original interviews with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones – plus a rare voice from the great beyond.
