.calibre was a Belgian band formed from the remnants of the metal band Facedown, known for their blend of funk, metal, and crossover genres. They released their album "Killthelogo" in 2002 through Warner Electra Atlantic, gaining recognition for their performances at major festivals like Pukkelpop, Rock Werchter, and Ozzfest. The band was notable for their socialist-themed lyrics and a vegan/straight-edge lifestyle. After .calibre, members Niko and Daniel went on to play in A School of Quiet by 2011. In 2020, it was announced that the spirit of .calibre would continue under the new band name Kill The Logo, releasing a single "Riot as One" in January 2021.
Kill The Logo represents a sequel rather than a reunion of .calibre, involving original members and new additions to explore a sound that carries forward the legacy of .calibre with influences of hardcore and nu-metal, integrating experiences gained over the years. The band continues the philosophy and story of .calibre, emphasizing themes like consumer disobedience and community living, aimed at translating the drivers of social and political change to the public.
