Highlights: Arthur Brown, the first "Shock Rocker" is outrageous . Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention is on fire tearing it up on violin. Earthy Melanie and Terry Reid are VG. Rare Traffic with Dave Mason was spirited. Glastonbury was not Woodstock. It's 1971. The free form dancing audience makes the show as much as the artists getting more screen time. The festival peak was at the end on Traffic's "Gimme Gimme Some Lovin". A lot of cut-away-s to the crowd will tick a fair amount viewers off. Not for me since I see it as a celebration. The elevated pyramid stage was way out for it's time. I deducted 1 star because it's only 87 minutes and mono sound. Also some attendees praying to the sky is not everyone's cup of tea. I felt Family's performance was honestly uneven. For rock festival viewers big on the late 1960s-early 70s, this one is another good time on DVD. It plays fine on my region 1 player……….BONUS FEATURES: The making of the festival documentary and Melanie in modern times playing one song, looking back at Glastonbury Fayre.
