In more than ten years of career, the Californian managed to elaborate a repertoire upsetting, while finesse. The key to its success? A warm and captivating timbre that leaves hardly indifferent.
As early as 2006, the album "The Pirate's Gospel" and its eponymous title make known the native of Nevada City. Only with her guitar, Alela Diane thrilled ballads inhabited and without fuss, faithful to the tradition of Americana.
In the years following this success, the songs of the young vocalist polish, expand, to become more pop, losing, from "To be still" (2009), its charm "raw formwork". However, the vocalist manages to regain his fans in 2013 with "About Farewell". Composed after a breakup in love, this album reveals sober, elegant and deep sounds, less rustic than the titles of his debut, but no less sincere.
To start on the right foot in 2018, the singer has concocted a new album around the maternity, "Cusp", two titles have already been announced: "Ether and wood" and "Emigré". The first, stripped and soothing, showcases his magnetic voice, simply supported by a piano, a guitar and a drums. The second, which is akin to the rudimentary folk of its beginnings, tells the migration crisis and the fatal destiny of many people fleeing their country.
On the occasion of the flying concerts, Alela Diane will unveil the novelties of this last album whose release is scheduled for February.
