Their fans, the legendary Deadheads, followed them all across America, creating their own culture. No band was so close to their fans. THE GRATEFUL DEAD MOVIE, shot in 1974 by four cameras and banded by Bandleader Jerry García, is not a simple recording, but the ultimate portrait of a band at the height of their musical creativity and the fan culture that has emerged around them.
