"Feast Of Friends" was filmed in 1968 and was the first and only film the doors produced about themselves. The strip offers a cinematic insight into the voyages of the band during their summer 1968 tour. Although never really completed, the film gives an authentic impression of the true Cinéma-Vérité style of the sixties. Concert recordings are interrupted by intimate insights into the private fields of the group, sometimes playful, sensitive, chaotic and touching. Apart from a few performances at film festivals in 1968 there was still no official publication. The film was completely restored on the basis of the negatives Jim Morrison supervised, the colors were corrected and cleaned, the longtime Doors companion Bruce Botnick remixed and remastered the soundtrack.
