"POP - FICTION" is the latest solo project of Michal Wierba for piano. The artist takes viewers on a unique journey into the world of energetic pop and rock hits. Wierba, with creativity, passion, charisma and an open mind and soul, challenges the Polish jazz scene. It's a mixture of an acoustic solo piano and live electronic experiments such as piano preparation and the use of a looper. In this unusual form, the audience can hear new versions of the best songs of all time, such as "Message in the Bottle" by The Police, "Can't Stop" by Red Hot Chili Peppers or "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran.
Virtuosity and excellent piano technique - which Wierba is famous for - make each performance a great entertainment and a time for emotions and reflection. It is an intelligent game with known things and an attempt to make it a new path in the exploration of the artist's instrument.
