Jessie Sanders (Little Howlin Wolf) was born on July 26, 1930 and grew up in Florence MS, along Highway 49. She lived in Chicago most of her life, during which she spent many hours in blues clubs and On the road with the last great Howlin 'wolf. Jessie first took the stage with Howlin 'Wolf in 1950. Wolf took Jessie under his wing and it was not uncommon for him to be heard in reference to Jessie as his "son." Out of respect and admiration for her old friend and mentor Jessie began acting like "Lil Howlin Wolf". He participated in several scenarios with blues greats like Howlin Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Hound Dog Taylor, Albert King, Magic Sam, Freddie King, and Little Junior Parker.
