Perhaps one of the most consistent and successful festival, after the first memorable edition. A billboard incredible even if covered today. How many other festivals can boast a cast like that of "Bluesin '88"? Almost certainly none!

Think of the names that the organization was able to bring together for one fantastic edition. The first reunion of the legendary Blues Brothers Band in its original lineup after the demise of the late John Belushi, one of the greatest interpreters of the music of the devil: John Lee Hooker, the legendary albino Texan Johnny Winter author of an enthralling and explosive performance, l ' coupled talent Ron Wood (Rolling Stones) and Bo Diddley, the great Otis Rush, the myths of rhythm'n'blues Rufus Thomas and Sam Moore (of the duo Sam & Dave).

But the set that undoubtedly will remain of far more in the hearts and minds of the lucky ones who were present in that edition, will surely be a performance by the great, great Stevie Ray Vaughan, who with his Double Trouble gave rise to an exhibition that will remain engraved in history of the Festival, and that over time will become legend.

Remember that on the occasion of this legendary festival also cameras RAI program Renzo Arbore "DOC" resumed the entire event.
