Jimmy Burns, one of Mississippi's legendary golden generation bluesman will be at the BB Seguros Blues and Jazz Festival, in BH 9/6 and Curitiba 15/6. Unmissable! Born in Dublin, a small town on the banks of the Mississippi, Jimmy was the youngest of 11 siblings, grew up on the Hilliard Cotton Plantation farm, picking cotton, and it was there and in the churches that he learned to play the guitar. His first musical idol was his older brother, Eddie Burns, who played guitar with what is considered the father of the blues, Lee Hooker. At the age of twelve, Jimmy Burns moved with his family to Chicago and that's where the electric guitar came into his life. Since then, he has made the blues his road and is a classic bluesman of the legendary generation that we are still privileged to watch and hear.
