Luther Allison was born on August 17, 1939 in Widener, Arkansas, the 14th child in a family of 15 children that grew up on a cotton farm. His parents decided to move to Chicago when he was ten years old, but he had already tasted the blues sounds before leaving Arkansas, played the organ in his town church and had learned to sing gospel. Allison always said that his first blues feelings came from listening to the family radio in Arkansas, which was on all night thanks to his father. He always remembered hearing the Grand Ole Opry and B.B. King at the King Biscuit Show on Memphis Radio WDIA

Alvin Lee, born Graham Alvin Barnes (Nottingham, United Kingdom, December 19, 1944 - Marbella, Spain, March 6, 2013) was a British rock guitarist and singer. He started playing the guitar at the age of 13; and with Leo Lyons they formed the nucleus of the band Ten Years After, in 1960.
