Khalif "Wailin '" Walter continues with his blues in Chicago and throughout Europe with his unique style of blues boogie. This composer born and raised in Chicago is a guitarist, singer and bandleader, who takes up the blues tradition as one of the new generations of musicians born in Mecca of the Blues. He has accumulated a lot of comments in the US, Canada and the European Union praising both his 2008 CD "Let Me Say That Again" and his electrifying live show. His work on guitar is like a storm and has one of the new voices style New Orleans, generates a traditional sound that reminds the greats like Albert King, Freddie King and Albert Collins. Fusion of contemporary style and innovative original arrangements with a solid roots of Chicago Blues roots. Khalif "Wailin '" Walter has performed at the Chicago Blues Festival in 2001, 2003 and 2007. In 2008 he toured the European Union and Festivals in the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. After completing his studies at Roosevelt Jazz University in Chicago, he was a member for 4 years of the Lonnie Brooks Blues Band and studied under the tutelage of his great uncle and Blues mentor Carl Weathersby. Khalif has appeared on stage with the Blues giants such as Taj Mahal, Otis Rush, The Jimmy Vaughan Band, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Bernard Allison, WC Handy Pinetop Perkins, Billy Branch, Sugar Bluel, Larry McCray, Curtis Salgado, Louisiana Network and ACReed.
