Formed in 1967 by ex-'Blues Project' member, Al Kooper, 'Blood Sweat and Tears' quickly became regarded as one of the most promising of all the late `60s rock bands. The pioneering fusion of jazz and rock captured the imagination of the critics and their first album Child is Father to the Man became a sleeper hit. Organist, singer, Kooper had insisted on the status of band-leader but the other band members wanted a committed lead singer and by the end of the decade Kooper had been replaced by David Clayton-Thomas. This DVD features archive footage of that reformed Blood Sweat and Tears line-up live at the Civic Theatre in Halifax, UK on April 9th 1980.
