Cedell Davis (born Ellis Davis, June 9, 1927) is an American blues guitarist and singer. Davis is admirable for its distinctive style of playing the guitar. Davis plays guitar using a table knife in his hand as slide. He appealed to this style of necessity. When I was 10, suffered a severe polio that left him little control over the left hand and the limited use of his right hand. He had been playing guitar before polio and decided to continue despite his disability, and developed his method using a knife as the only way I could get to even play guitar.
