Some bluesmen bring in their DNA the tradition of the Blues and, this, seems to be the case of Richard "Rip Lee" Pryor. Son of the late Blitz master Snooky Pryor - famous for electrifying the harmonica - Rip Lee was born on April 17, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. Very young, picked up the harmonics that his father discarded, to come out blowing, but when he was young, he even played guitar in a Soul band. In 1992, he formed a band of Blues with his brother Earl Pryor, playing guitar and harmonica. Seeking more experience, Rip Lee went on to make shows and record with his father until recording his own work, the album "Pitch a Boogie Woogie" in 1998, where he plays practically all the instruments in most of the songs. According to criticism, this work can be considered a true treasure of the Chicago Blues. In addition to the influence of his father, Snooky Pryor, has great reference of Jimmy Reed and Big Walter Horton.
