Khalif "Wailin '" Walter continues his blues in Chicago and across Europe with its unique style of blues boogie. This songwriter born and raised in Chicago is a guitarist, singer and bandleader, carrying the blues tradition up as one of the new generations of musicians born in Mecca of Blues. He has accumulated a mountain of comments in the US, Canada and the European Union praised both his 2008 CD "Let Me Say That Again" and his electrifying live show.
His guitar work is like a storm and has one of the new voices style of New Orleans, generates a traditional sound reminiscent of greats like Albert King, Freddie King and Albert Collins. Fusing contemporary and innovative original arrangements with strong roots in the roots of Chicago Blues style. Khalif "Wailin '" Walter was presented at the Chicago Blues Festival in 2001, 2003 and 2007. In 2008 he toured the European Union and Festivals in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. After completion of his studies at Roosevelt University Chicago Jazz was a member for four years of Lonnie Brooks Blues Band and studied under the tutelage of his uncle and great mentor Carl Weathersby Blues.
