Lil 'Ed Williams (born April 18, 1955, Chicago, Illinois, United States) is a guitarist, singer and composer of American blues that with his backing band, the Imperials Blues has built a loyal following. Williams and his environment brother James "Pookie" Young, received the encouragement of children and the tutelage of his uncle, JB Hutto, and in 1975 the half brothers had formed the first version of the Blues Imperials.
A decade later Alligator Records offered them the opportunity to record a compilation (Roughhousin "-1986-), which facilitated them appear in numerous music festivals.
In 92 the group disbanded, but not before releasing two more albums with Alligator (Chicken, Gravy and Biscuits / What You See is What You Get) and Williams recorded solo two albums: Keep on Walkin '(1996) and Who " s Been Talking (1998), the latter with Willie Kent. In 1999, the launch of Get Wild marked the meeting of the group, and have continued in the following years with Heads Up (2002), Rattleshake (2006), and Full Tilt (2008).
