Pinetop Perkins was one of the last great bluesmen of Mississippi. He started playing the blues in the late 1920s, and is widely regarded as one of the best and unmatched - and certainly the most enduring of pianist blues. It has invented a style that has influenced three generations of pianists, and remains the criterion, the parameter by which the great blues pianists are measured. He speaks to Chicago Beau about his life and then introduces his new CD with the Blue Ice Band in Iceland lands.
